We adjust the itinerary to any slight mobility issue.
After picking you up in your lodging we take the coastal road to Estoril, to learn about the Second WW Portugal, and all the spying activity that went on.
From there we head to Cascais to learn more about this quaint fishing village turned into the most expensive place to live in Portugal. We pass by Guincho beach, where one of the 007 movies was shot.
Next we proceed to Roca Point, the most westerly place in Continental Europe, to enjoy its impressive cliffs over the ocean. From there we can already see the bare naked western side of Sintra mountain, which will make a great comparison to the other side we are visiting next.
UNESCO World Heritage site since 1986, Sintra was since then left untouched. Conquered to the Moorish in 1147, same year as Lisbon, its now a luxurious green small village on the side of the mountain, with a castle, five Palaces and other amazing, open to the public, estates. But let us first entertain our stomachs, because we already travelled long. Lets appreciate a typical Portuguese meal, served in a very nice venue. Alternatives can be found to any food restriction.
Next we visit Sintra National Palace, and contemplate 900 years of History and dozens of royal generations that lived there. We will be in a room where three different Queens had lunch together in 1905.
We end this afternoon with a surprise activity before returning to your lodge.
